Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join secondary schools in Coventry. This flexible role supports pupils across subjects, with one-to-one and small group work, under the guidance of classroom teachers.

You will work with SEND learners and assist with resources, behaviours, and lesson delivery. Ideal candidates bring secondary school experience, calm communication, and a proactive approach to safeguarding, training, and ongoing development.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a secondary school setting.
  • Understanding of strategies for supporting mixed-ability and SEND learners.
  • Calm, patient, and able to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils.
  • Confident assisting learning across a range of subjects and key stages.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptable across different school environments and classroom needs.
  • Professional, reliable, and proactive approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • Willingness to take part in training and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

  • Support wider school duties and routines during longer-term placements.
