Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual learning and development needs
Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions
Taking responsibility for supporting specific learning activities and helping pupils make measurable progress
Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting resources and activities to meet individual needs
Delivering targeted catch-up and intervention sessions where required
Promoting positive behaviour, independence and confidence across the classroom
Supporting assessment and providing feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress
Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, Childcare or a related subject
Recent experience working within a primary school or education setting
Strong understanding of supporting pupils across the primary curriculum
Experience supporting SEND pupils or delivering targeted interventions is desirable
Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
Confident working independently while also taking direction from the class teacher
A patient, proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
