Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a Primary School Teaching Assistant to support teachers and pupils across Bridgend and the Vale areas. The role requires adaptability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to assist with Welsh-medium learning where applicable.

The successful candidate will work in various school settings on a day-to-day supply basis or longer placements, with onboarding and CPD opportunities provided through our My-Progression channel.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school setting, ideally within a Welsh-medium environment.
• Basic Welsh language skills and the confidence to use Welsh to support teaching.

Responsibilities

The successful Primary School Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally within a Welsh-medium school
• Basic Welsh language skills and the confidence to use Welsh to support teaching and learning
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum across KS1 and KS2
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to support children's learning
