Job summary

Abbeyfield School is expanding and seeks an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a highly motivated team. You will support teachers in the classroom and assist students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them reach their potential.

Experience with students with SEND, including ASD/ADHD, would be an advantage as Abbeyfield School continues to develop outstanding teaching and learning opportunities within The Athelstan Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with various special educational needs, including those on the autistic spectrum (ASD) and those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), would be an advantage.
• Experience of supporting teachers in the classroom and students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
• Ability to assist with positive behaviour management to maintain a positive learning environment.

They will be required to support teachers in the classroom and students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Experience of working with students with various special educational needs, including those on the autistic spectrum (ASD) and those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), would be an advantage as well as experience of managing positive behaviour.
