Job summary

Abbeyfield School is expanding and seeks an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a highly motivated team. You will support teachers in the classroom and assist students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them reach their potential.

Experience with students with SEND, including ASD/ADHD, would be an advantage as Abbeyfield School continues to develop outstanding teaching and learning opportunities within The Athelstan Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with various special educational needs, including those on the autistic spectrum (ASD) and those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), would be an advantage.
• Experience of supporting teachers in the classroom and students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
• Ability to assist with positive behaviour management to maintain a positive learning environment.
