Job summary

Trinity Academy Akroydon is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our supportive staff. You will provide learning support to pupils, focusing on individual needs or small groups, under the guidance of teaching colleagues.

This role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term time only plus 3 days. We offer a friendly, inclusive environment with opportunities for professional development and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• Awareness and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Experience of basic technology, PC, internet, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support to pupils with specific needs.
• Support individuals or small groups as directed by teachers.
• Assist with safeguarding and promote pupil welfare.
• Help with basic technology and classroom IT.
