Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a mainstream secondary school in Burton-Upon-Trent. The role involves providing positive classroom support across the secondary age range and helping students engage with their learning on a day-to-day basis.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive environment, adapt to a range of additional needs, and build strong relationships with students.

Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Burton-Upon-Trent that supports students with a range of additional needs. The school is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant who can provide positive classroom support and help students engage successfully with their education.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, providing general classroom support to students across the secondary age range. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching and support staff to assist students with their learning, encourage engagement in lessons and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people within an education or similar setting
• Experience supporting students with additional needs
• A patient and supportive approach
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
