Axcis Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs at a local school in Burnley starting in September. The role involves working with a variety of age groups and supporting students including those with autism and ADHD. Candidates should have relevant experience and full-time availability. Immediate interviews and trial days are available during the summer months.
Axcis Education are working closely with a SEND school in the heart of the Burnley, East Lancashire area. The school we are working with a special educational needs school and provide education and support for students aged 11 - 17 with additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH difficulties, complex needs and physical disabilities. The role will require you to work with some students who may need assistance with personal care and the ideal candidate will have some SEND experience, ideally autism experience. The role will start in September but the school are keen to meet staff during June and July, for an interview or trial day, to confirm them ahead of the new academic year. The role will be working with all age groups and a range of additional needs. The role is full time and school hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. The candidate must have experience working with children and ideally have experience working with children who have additional needs. The candidate must be available full time and ideally, have access to a car as the school isn't easy to access via public transport. Pay rates for this role start at £90 per day and work upwards to £100 per day, dependent on experience and the needs of the students you are working with.
