Job summary

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils in Bridgwater from September 2026. Roles available on flexible supply, short-term, and long-term basis to help children access learning and reach their full potential.

You will work closely with teaching staff and SEND teams, contributing to a safe, inclusive classroom while developing your school-based experience and professional growth in education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• Backgrounds in education, childcare, youth work, or care settings are advantageous.
• Compassionate and patient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Flexible and proactive attitude.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Salary: £93 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils within primary schools across Bridgwater from September 2026. We have opportunities available on a flexible supply, short-term, and long-term basis, supporting children with a variety of additional needs. Working closely with teaching staff and SEND teams, you will play an important role in helping pupils access learning and reach their full potential. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience while making a positive impact on children’s educational development.
