Job summary

The Nicholas Hamond Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students in the classroom on a permanent basis. The role is 28.5 hours per week, with a salary on the NJC scale 4-6, actual salary £16,685 - £17,218. Start date is as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be patient and proactive, thrive in a secondary academy environment, and help students achieve progress academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

  • Confident and patient with young people.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students.
  • Good communication and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in the classroom to ensure academic, social and emotional progress.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and pupil supervision.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Are you looking for a fantastic new opportunity? The Nicholas Hammond Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students in the classroom.

About you: -

We are looking for a confident individual who is patient, sympathetic and enjoys working with young people by establishing positive relationships with students, using a flexible approach to support children within a secondary Academy.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, effective communicator, enthusiastic and able to use their own initiative, to support students in the classroom to ensure that they are making progress academically, socially, and emotionally.

Previous experience or qualifications in a relatable role within an educational establishment is desirable but not essential. This role requires, a grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
