Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Academy in Atherstone is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to join the learning support team. You will work under guidance to assist pupils, help with learning activities and support teachers in managing the classroom.

We welcome applicants who are passionate about helping students reach their potential; term-time only, 25 hours per week, with a permanent contract. Interview process to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have Maths GCSE (C/4 or above) and English GCSE (C/4 or above).
• Ability to multi-task, organise and manage time effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication; works well in a team with teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils under guidance of teaching staff to enable learning access.
• Assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Work in classroom or outside main teaching area as needed.

Salary: NJC 6 - 10

Actual Salary: £15,103 - £16,094 per annum / FTE Salary: £25,988 - £27,693 per annum

The Queen Elizabeth Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated part time Teaching Assistant, who will work well as part of a team who truly want the best from our students. About you

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking individual, with a real drive to enhance the whole school experience. As a key member of the learning support team, you will work under the guidance/instruction of designated teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under the guidance of teaching staff.

The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE grade c/4 or above and have previous experience of working with children. To succeed you will have the ability to muti‑task, have good organisation and time management skills and have effective oral and written communication skills.
