Job summary

Lift Feversham, part of Lift Schools, is seeking a teaching assistant to join our community focused team on a permanent basis. We welcome applicants from any key stage background and value a collaborative approach to education.

The role supports learning, speech and language interventions, and helps pupils access the curriculum. A Level 3 TA is preferred, with training available through our TA Apprenticeship Programme to develop essential skills.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 TA qualification; Level 3 advantageous.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4+).
  • Experience supporting children in any Key Stage including EYFS.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND.
  • Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc.
  • Understanding of child development and how children learn.
  • Positive behaviour management experience.
  • UK right to work – sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

  • Improve learning and attainment while promoting independence and social inclusion.
  • Supervise classroom activities and play.
  • Support speech and language interventions.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum and participate in learning.
  • Be a warm and friendly face to children and parents.
  • Be flexible to work across any area of the school.

You're someone who'll be able to:
  • Improve the learning and attainment of students while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusionSupervise classroom activities and play
  • Support speech and language interventions
  • Support students so that they can; access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement
  • Be awarm and friendly face to children and parents
  • Be flexible to work across any area of the school as required
You're someone who has
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification - advantageous if you have level 3.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
  • Experiencesupporting children in any Key Stage includingEYFS
  • Knowledge of strategies tosupport pupils with SEND
  • Familiaritywith phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc
  • Understanding of child development and how children learn
  • Positivebehaviour management experience
  • UK right towork - we are unable offer sponsorship for this position
