  • Assist in monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher on how interventions are impacting student learning and behaviour.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with children who have Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of LD and EBD needs, with the ability to implement strategies to support academic and emotional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic approach to working with children who require additional support, with a genuine passion for their learning and wellbeing.

About the School:

  • Specialist SEN Setting: The school is dedicated to providing high-quality, tailored education for children with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
  • Supportive Environment: The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where each child's individual needs are addressed, and they are supported in reaching their full potential.
  • Experienced Team: The school is made up of a team of experienced teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff who collaborate to provide the best outcomes for every student.
  • Holistic Approach: The school focuses not only on academic achievement but also on the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students.
  • Focus on Wellbeing: The school is committed to helping students build resilience, self-esteem, and emotional regulation, enabling them to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary, based on experience, with opportunities for further development and pay progression.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including training in SEN strategies and behaviour management techniques.
  • A collaborative, supportive working environment where your contributions are appreciated and valued.
  • Opportunities to work alongside a team of specialists, including SENCOs, therapists, and behavioural experts, to improve outcomes for students.
