Supply Desk is seeking an EBD HLTA to support in a SEMH provisional unit at a specialist secondary school in Basingstoke. The role runs 08:30am–4:30pm, five days a week, starting September 2026, with a long-term contract potential.
You will work with children with complex needs, applying agreed strategies, personalising planning and resources, and maintaining calm, consistent boundaries to help learners progress.

We’re seeking dedicated EBD HLTA to support in an SEMH provisional unit to work with a range of different needs throughout a specialist secondary school. All children within the unit present behaviours that need addressing with empathy but and confidence. It is essential you are strong, calm, and consistent, with the confidence to follow agreed strategies, apply boundaries fairly, and respond proactively.
You would need to have experience working with children with complex needs and experience personalising planning and resources to meet diverse learning styles.
