Teaching Personnel in Basingstoke is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with additional needs in a specialist SEN provision from September.
You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide one-to-one and small-group support, adapt activities, encourage communication and independence, and help pupils progress toward their EHCP outcomes in a nurturing, inclusive setting.
Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Pay: Equivalent to £14.25 per hour
We are seeking a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision from September. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and young people across both primary and secondary age groups within a highly supportive and inclusive educational environment.
The school caters specifically for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and associated social, emotional and communication needs.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils' educational journeys while developing your own skills and experience within specialist education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality support that enables pupils to engage with learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual outcomes.
No two days are the same. You will play a key role in creating a positive and structured learning environment where every pupil feels supported, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
