Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking Teaching Assistants to support pupils and teachers in Basildon and surrounding areas. You will help deliver lessons, support individuals and small groups, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, planning activities with teachers, and providing tailored support for students with additional needs. A sports background is welcome but not required; DBS enhanced checks are part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children preferred.

Job Description

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming and supportive schools across Basildon and surrounding areas.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils within the classroom, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. You will support the delivery of lessons, work with individuals and small groups, and help ensure that all pupils are able to access learning and achieve their full potential.

You will be expected to assist in planning and delivering classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher, provide tailored support to pupils who may require additional help, and contribute to the overall progress and wellbeing of children within the school setting.

A sports background is desirable but not essential, offering opportunities to support PE lessons or extracurricular activities. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about education and supporting young learners.
