Job summary

Corfe Hills School in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated individual to support teaching and learning activities. You will assist the SENDCo in developing and implementing learning strategies to help students progress and stay engaged.

The role requires prior experience in education, strong English communication, and the ability to maintain calm when dealing with challenging behaviour while fostering inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (minimum level 4 or equivalent)
• Previous experience of working in an educational setting
• Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour whilst remaining calm
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate role model behaviour
• Fluency in English for all student and public-facing roles, specifically to support students’ learning and wellbeing

• b. establishing and maintaining relationships with individual students/groups to support with learning activities
