TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Barnsley.

You will support pupils across the primary age range, work with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities, and assist pupils with SEND where required, helping to maintain a positive classroom environment.

The role is long-term with an immediate start and pays £90-£110 per day on a PAYE basis, with on-going support from a team of consultants.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range, working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities, provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom expectations
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
