Job summary

TeacherActive Limited are recruiting a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support learners in a Bradford mainstream secondary school. You will work across KS3/KS4 delivering 1:1 SEND support and assisting with classroom activities to keep students engaged.

The role offers day-to-day supply work with immediate start, a PAYE payroll arrangement, and opportunities to undertake CPD courses while benefiting from flexible hours and a supportive consultant team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting KS3/KS4 in a UK secondary school.
• Experience providing 1:1 SEND support.
• Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and positive behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with students and staff.

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £90 - 105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant. The school supports students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, including young people with a range of SEND needs, with a focus on providing an inclusive learning environment where students can develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a flexible Secondary Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply cover, with an immediate start available. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will be responsible for providing 1:1 SEND support, assisting students with classroom activities, delivering targeted interventions and working closely with teaching staff to ensure students remain engaged and supported throughout their learning.

The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will have:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 within a UK secondary school

Experience providing 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND

A good understanding of inclusive teaching strategies, positive behaviour management and individual learning plans

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and teaching staff

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional learning needs
