Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Secondary School in Leeds seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant for day-to-day cover with an immediate start. You will support pupils across KS3 and KS4, helping maintain engagement through targeted support.

The role requires a relevant TA qualification (desirable) and track record with secondary-aged students, along with strong communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, flexible and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day cover for secondary classes.
• Support students individually and in small groups to keep them engaged.

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £90 - 105 per day

The school is looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover with an Immediate Start. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, assisting with classroom activities and providing individual and small-group support to help students remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, flexible and adaptable approach
