Job summary

Shropshire Council is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join Bishop Hooper Church of England Primary School in Ashford Carbonel. This fixed-term, term-time role is 15 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 9am - 12pm) at £13.92 per hour, SCP 6.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with special educational needs.
• Deliver literacy interventions for pupils with SEN.
• Deliver numeracy interventions for pupils with SEN.
• Willingness to undertake required training and development.
• Paediatric first aid certificate would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions to pupils across the school.
• Support pupils with special educational needs in class and on occasions across the school.
• Assist with training and safeguarding requirements as directed.

We are seeking a very special, caring person with enthusiasm and experience of working with children with special educational needs. The role will involve working across the school, delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to pupils.

The person will need to have a calm nature, be adaptable as well as be willing to go on any required training. A current paediatric first aid certificate would be an advantage.
