Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position at a secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire. Start date after October Half-Term 2026.

You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, and assist teachers with lesson preparation. The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable and skilled in building positive student relationships, with strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire, who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis after the October half-term break.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual looking to make a positive impact on young people's education and development. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday during term time
• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Providing one-to-one and small group interventions
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required
• Encouraging student engagement, confidence and academic progress
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
• Be patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with students
• Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
• Have a genuine passion for supporting young people in their learning
• Be able to provide references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
