Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne to appoint a General Cover Teacher on a temporary basis. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 and manage different classes with confidence.

To be successful you will have QTS, experience teaching in a secondary setting and strong behaviour management, communication and organisation skills. The role offers market leading daily pay rates (£180–£220) via PAYE.

Are you a qualified teacher looking for a flexible General Cover Teacher role in a secondary school?

Are you confident delivering lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4?

Do you have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in the absence of their usual class teacher?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne who are looking to appoint a General Cover Teacher. The school is looking for a confident and adaptable teacher who can provide consistent classroom support across a range of subjects.

The school is looking to take on a General Cover Teacher on a temporary basis, with the successful candidate delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4. The General Cover Teacher can come from any subject specialism but must be confident managing different classes, maintaining positive behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning.

The successful General Cover Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment
• Confidence delivering lessons outside of your subject specialism
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• An adaptable and positive approach to teaching
