As part of a collaborative staff, you will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, contribute to curriculum development, and engage with families and external agencies to support pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Hold QTS and be qualified to teach in the UK.
  • Have successful teaching experience with children and young people with additional needs.
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners.
  • Understand personalised learning and adaptive teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and report pupil progress with appropriate interventions.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside academic achievement.
  • Promote positive behaviour for learning in line with school policies.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, teaching resources and assessment practices.
  • Work collaboratively to improve teaching and learning.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Teachers (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Camberwell Park Specialist School

This is a permanent, full-time role on the Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale plus SEN allowance, ideally starting January 2027.

The OpportunityWe are seeking two passionate and committed SEN Teachers to join our specialist team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs while contributing to the ongoing development of our school community.

You will be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner who shares our belief that every child can succeed and who is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences that enable pupils to make strong progress academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be qualified to teach in the UK
  • Have successful teaching experience and experience working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners
  • Understand the importance of personalised learning and adaptive teaching
  • Be committed to promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be reflective, resilient and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities
What You'll Be DoingAs a Teacher at Camberwell Park, you will fulfil the professional responsibilities outlined in the Teachers' Standards and School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.

You will:
