Job summary

Camberwell Park Specialist School in Manchester is seeking two SEN Teachers to join our dedicated team from January 2027. This permanent, full-time role on the Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale with SEN allowance offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for pupils with additional needs.

You will plan, deliver and assess high-quality, personalised learning, support pupil wellbeing, and contribute to school improvement and enrichment activities within a collaborative SEN environment.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be qualified to teach in the UK.
  • Successful teaching experience with pupils who have additional needs.
  • Willingness to participate in CPD activities.

Qualifications Required: Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards). A degree of equivalent qualification. Successful teaching experience in the relevant phase. A willingness to participate in CPD activities. Experience of working with young people. Qualified to teach and work in the UK.

Start Date: 1st January 2027

Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Teachers (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Camberwell Park Specialist School

This is a permanent, full-time role on the Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale plus SEN allowance, ideally starting January 2027.

We are seeking two passionate and committed SEN Teachers to join our specialist team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs while contributing to the ongoing development of our school community.

You will be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner who shares our belief that every child can succeed and who is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences that enable pupils to make strong progress academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be qualified to teach in the UK
  • Have successful teaching experience and experience working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners
  • Understand the importance of personalised learning and adaptive teaching
  • Be committed to promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be reflective, resilient and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities

As a Teacher at Camberwell Park, you will fulfil the professional responsibilities outlined in the Teachers' Standards and School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.

You will:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of pupils
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all pupils can succeed
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place- Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic achievement
  • Promote positive behaviour for learning in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum planning, teaching resources and assessment practices
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies to support pupil outcomes
  • Contribute to school self-evaluation and improvement initiatives
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and support the development of colleagues where appropriate
  • Actively contribute to the wider life of the school community
