Kirkcudbright Primary School

We are seeking to appoint a part-time 0.4 FTE permanent Teacher for our Learning Centre at Kirkcudbright Primary School. Kirkcudbright Primary School was built in 2010 and is situated in the beautiful harbour town of Kirkcudbright, also known as ‘The Artists’ Town’. We have strong links with the local community and utilises many opportunities to enrich children’s experiences within and out with the school.

We are very proud of our welcoming ethos, positive relationships and the quality of learners’ experiences. We had a positive HMIE inspection in June 2024 and have a strong foundation to build upon.

Dumfries and Galloway’s approach to education looks to combine the traditional values, ethos and atmosphere of this unique corner of Scotland with fresh 21st Century thinking. We are seeking to appoint creative teachers with vision and a passion for learning. This post represents an excellent opportunity to be innovative in developing our culture of sharing and learning.
