The Science department features 10 laboratories across two floors, with prep rooms and specialist technicians supporting practical work. The department is well-equipped with up-to-date practical equipment.
At KS3, the curriculum ensures a smooth transition from KS2, emphasizing understanding core concepts through rich tasks and problem-solving. At KS4, pupils can follow the AQA Combined Trilogy or study triple Sciences, leading to GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The department collaborates on planning and resource sharing for consistent lesson delivery.
Extensive extracurricular STEM activities are available, with a goal for every pupil to participate in at least one STEM event annually.
