Hours of work: Core School Hours

We are seeking a suitably qualified Science teacher to cover a maternity leave at NeneGate. The role involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, providing an excellent opportunity for gaining experience in a special school setting and developing classroom expertise.

  1. Teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 lessons to pupils with a range of abilities.
  2. Establish positive relationships with pupils as a tutor.
  3. Develop skills in teaching pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
  4. Be a qualified and experienced Science teacher.
  5. Plan and deliver engaging lessons confidently.
  6. Develop schemes of learning and monitor assessment.
  7. Build strong relationships with pupils to support their engagement in learning.
  8. Participate in the wider life of the school.
