Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking dedicated Science Teachers to work across Folkestone's secondary schools from September until the end of the year, with potential extension. You will plan and deliver lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3 and KS4.

You must have QTS or equivalent, strong subject knowledge across the three sciences, and excellent behaviour management. DBS disclosure or willingness to apply, plus the legal right to work in the UK, are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Experience teaching Science to KS3 and/or KS4 students.
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or willingness to apply for one, alongside overseas police clearances (if applicable).
• CV covering the last 10 years of employment history.
• Right to work in the UK.

Salary

MPS1 - UPS3, depending on experience

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all three Science disciplines - Biology, Chemistry and Physics - to KS3 and KS4 students.


• Create learning experiences that cater to the needs and abilities of all students.


• Attend departmental meetings and parents' evenings when required.


• Monitor and record student progress effectively, providing feedback to support their academic growth and development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
