Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join multiple secondary schools in the Folkestone area for a September start, with the potential to extend. You will teach across Biology, Chemistry and Physics for KS3 and KS4 classes and contribute to a collaborative department.

The role offers PAYE with MPS1 - UPS3 pay scale depending on experience and qualifications, with a strong focus on student engagement and attainment.

Qualifications

QTS or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent behaviour management skills.
Experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4.
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or willingness to apply for one, alongside overseas police clearances and professional reference checks.
CV covering the last 10 years of employment history.
Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all three Science disciplines to KS3 and KS4 students.
Create learning experiences that cater to the needs and abilities of all students.
Attend departmental meetings and parents' evenings when required.
Monitor and record student progress effectively, providing feedback to support their academic growth and development.
