Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for a Dover-based role starting in September. The position covers Biology, Chemistry and Physics for KS3/KS4 with a PAYE contract and MPS1–UPS3 salary scale depending on experience.

You will plan engaging lessons, tailor activities to diverse learners, and participate in departmental meetings and parent evenings while maintaining high behavioural standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
• Inspire students to perform at their best.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Experience teaching Science to KS3 and/or KS4.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure and overseas police clearances where applicable.
• CV covering the last 10 years of employment history.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Salary: MPS1 – UPS3, depending on experience PAYE

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all three Science disciplines - Biology, Chemistry and Physics - to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Create learning experiences that cater to the needs and abilities of all students.
• Attend departmental meetings and parents' evenings when required.
• Monitor and record student progress effectively, providing feedback to support their academic growth and development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Experience teaching Science to KS3 and/or KS4 students.
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or willingness to apply for one, alongside Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible.
• The legal right to work in the UK.
