Job summary

Job description

The permanent Teacher of Science post sits in the Science department at Abbeyfield School. It involves teaching science across Key Stages 3 and 4 through engaging lessons that develop pupils’ scientific understanding and curiosity. The department has specialist colleagues, well-equipped laboratories and a Science Lecture Theatre; the working week is 32.5 hours. Applicants need QTS and a good honours degree in a science-related subject; the start is ASAP, with online checks, references, an enhanced DBS and barred-list check, and, where appropriate, a prohibition-from-teaching search.
