Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a mainstream Secondary School in Leeds to appoint a Science Teacher to support KS3 and KS4 from September. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons and help students achieve progress across the Science curriculum.

We are seeking a candidate with QTS and a Science specialism, experience teaching KS3/KS4, strong classroom management and communication skills. The role can be day-to-day or long-term, with competitive pay through TeacherActive.

Qualifications

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Science Teacher. The school provides education for secondary-aged students and is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to support pupils across KS3 and KS4.

The school is looking for a Science Teacher for day-to-day or long-term roles from September, teaching across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Science Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons where required, manage classroom behaviour effectively and support students to make progress across the Science curriculum.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Science specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication skills
• An adaptable and flexible approach to teaching
