King's Academy Ringmer is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join our thriving secondary school on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave to start on Monday 4 January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love of Science, deliver high-quality teaching and learning, and support students to achieve their full potential within a supportive and ambitious school community. The appointment is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave. It is anticipated that the appointment will run until Thursday 23 July 2027 Working closely with colleagues within the Science Department and across the wider school, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners of all abilities. You will create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed, while maintaining high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation. You will be committed to developing students' Scientific knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, enabling them to make strong progress and achieve positive outcomes. Through effective assessment and feedback, you will monitor progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners. As a valued member of our staff team, you will contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment opportunities and collaborating with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.
