Job Overview

We are seeking a QUALIFIED TEACHER to join Sir Jonathan North Girls' College as a Teacher of Physical Education (PE) on a maternity cover contract. Our school boasts excellent student behaviour and an inclusive, studious environment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons, inspire students, and contribute positively to our vibrant school community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
• Nurture and motivate students academically and holistically
• Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and extracurricular activities
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety during lessons

Contract Details

• Duration: Until 22nd May 2026 or the return of the substantive postholder
• Hours: 0.8 FTE, worked over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
• Salary: MPS/UPS
• Responsible to: Curriculum Team Leader
