English Teacher Job - Maternity Cover, Leicester

Hays Education is working with an Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school located in Leicestershire. The school caters to students aged between 11 and 16 and is looking for a part-time qualified English Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 on a maternity cover basis.

Start date: 26th August 2025
End date: February 2026
Subject: English at KS3 & KS4
Timetable: Part-Time & Long-term role (Maternity Cover)

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cover the curriculum. You will also contribute to the development of the department and participate in extracurricular activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and creative English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
