Job summary

St John's RC High School in Dundee is seeking a GTCS-registered secondary teacher for full-time maternity cover until July 2027. The post is based in Dundee, 35 hours per week, and references are requested only if shortlisted.

You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils, contribute to the school community, and demonstrate knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence. The role requires PVG scheme clearance and RC Church approval.

Requirements

The Individual

You will also demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning in a range of areas. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/ interpersonal skills and relate well to others. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will require to join the PVG Scheme to undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
