Ormiston NEW Academy is looking for a Teacher of Humanities with an RS or History specialism. Teaching and indeed inspirational teaching are at the heart of what we are doing here. If you are passionate and committed to transforming the lives of students, then we want you to join us.
Ormiston NEW Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds. With 1,118 students on roll, we provide a vibrant learning environment with first-class facilities. NEWA has undergone an OFSTED inspection under the new framework and are beyond proud to announce that we have been awarded a strong grading in four areas: attendance and behaviour, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing. In the remaining three areas, we are meeting the expected standard. The new framework is deliberately more ambitious, with higher expectations set for schools across all areas. As a result, meeting the expected standard reflects a stronger benchmark than under previous inspection arrangements. Achieving a strong grading in any area is, therefore, a significant accomplishment, and indeed we have achieved four strong gradings.
Our vision is to create a school system where every child thrives, regardless of background. Our people are at the heart of our approach - they are our greatest asset.
We exist to provide the best learning opportunities every day, in every school for every child. It is the people and teams in our Trust who make this a reality and ensure we have the greatest impact. If you join us at Ormiston, whatever your role, your work will have purpose and meaning
As a staff member at an Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) academy, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional development, personal well-being, and work-life balance.
