About the Role
Geography at their academy is more than a subject - it's a way to understand people, places, and our changing planet. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative department committed to making learning relevant, engaging, and transformative for all students.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5
Inspire curiosity about global issues, sustainability, and cultural diversity
Foster a learning environment where all students feel confident, supported, and challenged
Use assessment and feedback effectively to support student progress
Contribute to the development of creative and ambitious schemes of work
Take part in enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects linked to entrepreneurship and sport
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child welfare
What They Are Looking For
A qualified teacher (QTS or on track to achieve it), with a specialism in Geography
A creative approach to teaching, with high expectations for all learners
Passion for global issues and a desire to make learning relevant and exciting
Strong classroom management and a positive presence
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Reflective, resilient, and dedicated to continuous professional development
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
