About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Geography, starting from September 2025. The ideal candidate will have both the commitment and ability to enthuse and motivate our students to ensure excellent progress is made by all.

Responsibilities

• Be a dynamic teacher who encourages a love for the subject through both their teaching and their involvement in co-curricular offers.
• Have a genuine passion for the subject and the ability to be an outstanding teacher.
• Be committed to raising achievement, raising aspirations and going the extra mile.
• Plan for a rigorous learning experience in which knowledge is broken down into manageable chunks to prevent cognitive load.
• Focus on the recall and activation of knowledge and bring it to bear on conceptually focused questions.
• Utilise direct instruction, retrieval practice, low stakes testing and question level analysis in all year groups.
• Work proactively to tackle subject gaps as they occur and eliminate the need for reactive intervention in exam year groups.
• Maintain a zero tolerance approach to misbehaviour and low-level disruption.
• Deliver high quality teaching in a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

Qualifications

This role would be suitable for ECTs or more experienced teachers.
