Are you a confident and passionate teacher with an unwavering commitment to ensure all students benefit from a first-class Economics and Business Studies curriculum, and develop an understanding of their impact on the world beyond school? Penistone Grammar School has a maternity cover vacancy for a full-time (part-time considered) Teacher of Economics, possibly including Business Studies. We seek a teacher with enthusiasm and drive to join our Business Team.
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave (part-time considered)
Salary Range: MPS/UPS (TLR2: £3390 per annum allowance may be available for an exceptional candidate)
Start Date: 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026
You will be a Teacher of Economics with some Business Studies, a first-class practitioner committed to student learning, with the talent to make a difference in their lives. You should share our vision and inspire students to achieve more than they believe possible.
For an exceptional candidate, there is a possible TLR role as Second in Department.
Economics and Business Studies are popular subjects at KS4 and KS5. Previous experience teaching GCSE and A-Level is required, with A-Level experience and 2nd in department experience being advantageous.
