Academics are actively looking for enthusiastic Design Technology Teachers who are interested in short- and long-term supply assignments within our partner secondary schools and academies in Cheshire East & West starting from the new academic year in September.

Whether you prefer a long-term contract or week-by-week supply work, at Academics we tailor the job search to your preferences, aiming to provide roles that suit your needs. Our opportunities offer flexibility in working days and are especially beneficial for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as these roles often lead to more permanent positions in our schools.

We welcome applications from Design Technology Teachers with specialisms in Food and Nutrition, Textiles, Resistant Materials, or Product Design.

Roles Requirements

1. Have UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS or QTLS).
2. Be familiar with the National Curriculum and the Design Technology programmes of study.
3. Possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills, with excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire positive learning attitudes.
4. Adapt quickly to new school environments and work well within a team.
5. Hold a current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one (cost applies).

Please note that daily rates depend on experience, qualifications, the nature of the supply (short or long-term), and current client rates.
