Job Title: Design Technology Teacher Location: Rochdale, Lancashire Job Type: Full-time Salary: From £150 per day based on experience Axcis Education has a rewarding opportunity for a qualified and experienced Design Technology Teacher to join a dynamic school in Rochdale, Lancashire. If you are passionate about imparting your knowledge of Design Technology and have a track record of delivering engaging lessons up to and including GCSE level, we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Planning and delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the current curriculum. - Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students. - Utilizing a range of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and capabilities of each student. - Providing a structured learning environment that encourages and supports students in their studies. - Maintaining excellent classroom management strategies to facilitate a positive and supportive learning experience. - Liaising with colleagues and parents/guardians to support the personal and academic growth of students. - Taking part in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events as required. - Continuously updating personal knowledge in the subject area and pedagogy. **Requirements:** - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK. - Enhanced DBS on the update service. - Substantial experience teaching Design Technology in UK-based schools. - Proven competence in teaching up to and including GCSE level. - Excellent classroom management and organizational skills. - A commitment to continuous professional development. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. - The ability to foster a collaborative and responsive learning environment. **Working Hours:** - Full-time position with working hours of 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. **Benefits:** - Competitive daily rates based on experience. - Access to a school with excellent resources and facilities. - Potential for a permanent position after a successful period on supply.
