Job summary

Outcomes First Group’s Crookhey Hall School seeks a passionate Teacher to educate young people with SEMH and autism. You’ll plan and adapt lessons, build trusting relationships, and support students to grow resilience and confidence.

This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, start October 2026. UK applicants only; sponsorship not offered. A driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH and/or Autism.
  • Confidence supporting behaviours that may challenge and adapting your approach when necessary.
  • Strong classroom practice and the ability to make learning engaging and accessible.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.
  • Experience supporting young people from challenging backgrounds and evidence of improving educational outcomes would be beneficial.

We’re looking for a teacher who combines strong classroom practice with empathy, creativity and resilience.



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience supporting young people withSEMH and/or Autism

  • Confidence supporting behaviours that may challenge and adapting your approach when necessary

  • Strong classroom practice and the ability to make learning engaging and accessible

  • A genuine belief that every young person can make progress with the right support

  • A proactive and resilient approach, with a strong commitment to safeguarding

  • The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a supportive school team

  • A commitment to your own continued professional development

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Experience supporting young people from challenging backgrounds and evidence of improving educational outcomes would also be beneficial.


About Us

Crookhey Hall Schoolis a Social andEmotionalMental Health(SEMH)School which caters for boys and girls aged 10 - 17 years of age. Weprovide young peoplewith an educational experience that will not only extend theiracademicandvocationalsocial skills and abilities but will also promote personal growth and help to build self-esteem. In this way it is hoped that each individual will aspire to achieve their full potential, eventually leaving school with the determination to make a positive contribution to society in the years to come.


Crookhey Hall School has a 15-acre setting in countryside south of Cockerham, near Lancaster. Due to the location, it would be beneficial for candidates to have a driving licence.


The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each studentspotential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We provide young people with as much freedom as possible in a safe and supervised environment.
