Working closely with Outcomes First Schools colleagues, you will lead the delivery of a broad, engaging and personalised curriculum, ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full potential. You will champion high-quality teaching, promote excellent attendance and behaviour, and ensure therapeutic approaches are embedded throughout the school experience. As the school's senior leader, you will be responsible for safeguarding, regulatory compliance, school improvement, staff development and financial sustainability. You will build strong relationships with families, local authorities and external partners, while fostering a shared vision that inspires students, staff and the wider school community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership that delivers exceptional educational and personal outcomes for students.
  • Driving continuous school improvement through effective self-evaluation, planning and accountability.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Leading, developing and motivating staff, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration and professional growth.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all statutory, regulatory and inspection requirements.
  • Managing the school's operations, resources and budget effectively to support long-term success and growth.
  • Building strong partnerships with families, local authorities and other stakeholders to secure the best outcomes for students.
  • Acting as a visible and inspiring role model who embodies the values and vision of the school and Outcomes First Schools.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced education leader who is committed to transforming the lives of students and creating a thriving school community.

You will be a highly effective leader with the vision, resilience and drive to deliver outstanding outcomes, inspire teams and lead improvement. You will bring a strong understanding of safeguarding, quality assurance and school leadership, alongside the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families and external partners. You will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Significant leadership experience within an education setting, ideally within a specialist, SEND or alternative provision environment.
  • A proven track record of raising standards, improving outcomes and leading successful school improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, statutory requirements, compliance and inspection frameworks.
  • Experience of leading, developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, local authorities and external partners.
  • Strong strategic, operational and financial management skills.
  • The ability to use data, self-evaluation and quality assurance processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • A commitment to inclusion, high expectations and ensuring every student achieves their full potential.
  • NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) or a commitment to working towards it is desirable.

Above all, you will be an inspiring leader who is passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of students, empowering staff and leading a school where everyone can succeed.
