Job summary

Underley Garden School in Kirkby Lonsdale is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning needs as part of a 24-hour curriculum. You’ll work with teachers and pastoral staff to promote personal, social and academic development across the school day.

The role is permanent and term-time only, with a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, starting January 2027. A caring, patient approach and safeguarding commitment are essential, including DBS checks.

• Support with personal and medical care needs where required.

Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on students, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory and behavioural needs associated with their disabilities.
