Job summary

E-ACT DSLV Academy is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support high-quality teaching and learning in a welcoming school community in the United Kingdom.

You will work closely with teachers to provide general and targeted assistance to pupils, ensuring safety and access to learning activities, while following the classroom plan and individual needs.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range.
• Ability to work with an individual child or with a group.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs.
• Implement planned learning activities with guidance from the teacher.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting issues as appropriate.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and respond to individual needs.
• Assist with Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under supervision.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing both general and targeted assistance to pupils and staff. You will operate under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the classroom teacher to help create a positive and effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-Being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.

Pay range: NJC SCP 8 - 12 £21,406.80 - £22,822.90 - 32.5 hours a week, 39 weeks a year

FTE: NJC SCP 8 - 12 £27,709.00 - £29,542.00 - 37 hours a week, 52 weeks a year
