Job summary

E-ACT DSLV Academy in the United Kingdom invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to support teachers and pupils, enhancing learning in a safe, inclusive environment. The role involves supervising students, delivering planned activities, and aiding students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs under teacher supervision.

We offer a strong pay structure via NJC SCP 8–12 for 32.5 hours a week across 39 weeks, with full-time equivalent progression, and a range of staff benefits

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting.
• Ability to work with an individual child or with a group.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs .
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing both general and targeted assistance to pupils and staff.
