Job summary

E-ACT Reedswood Academy invites applications for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 or KS2 within a high‑calibre, Ofsted‑rated primary academy.

You will assist with delivering engaging learning activities, support children to build confidence and resilience, and help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment. A strong focus on wellbeing and safeguarding is integral to the role.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Ability to support teaching and learning effectively within a classroom environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, colleagues, parents/carers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt support and learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality learning activities under the direction of the teacher.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Support pupils with SEND to access learning and participate fully in academy life.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils in developing appropriate social skills.
• Recognise and respond appropriately to wellbeing and safeguarding concerns.

Pay range:

• NJC SCP 6-9 £20,740.77 - £21,749.73 (FTE: £26,847 - £28,153)
• Full Time, 32.5 hours Per week
• Term Time only, 39 weeks Per year
• Fixed Term Until 31st July 2027.
