Job summary

Gosberton House Academy in Spalding, England, is seeking an enthusiastic SEN teacher to support children in a Key Stage 1 class.

Whether you are new to special education or an experienced practitioner, you will join a welcoming, supportive staff team with access to professional development and a recently updated curriculum.

Visits to the school are encouraged; closing date 17 October 2026 and interviews on 19–20 October 2026. The post is subject to safeguarding and other pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in special education or SEN desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual needs.
• Experience working in a collaborative, supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children in developing communication and independence skills, as well as cognitive and emotional development.
• Deliver lessons within a KS1 classroom in a special school setting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to ongoing school development and best practices.

It is likely the post will be in a Key Stage 1 class however there would be some flexibility for the right candidate.
